Terms of Service
Last updated September 10, 2026
Yearbook Drop is a photo collection tool for school organizers. Before creating or joining a school workspace, organizers must accept these terms. By uploading photos, contributors agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create a school workspace or upload photos.
These terms are between you and the people who operate Yearbook Drop (“we,” “us”).
Your account and school collection
Organizers must be adults authorized to manage their school collection. Keep your credentials secure, share school links only with the intended community, and pause collection or replace a link if it is misused. Contributors must be adults submitting photos on their own behalf or on behalf of children in their care. Children must not create accounts or upload photos.
The organizer decides which photos to keep, who can access them, and whether to include them in a yearbook. Yearbook Drop does not make those decisions or guarantee inclusion. Naming a school in the app does not mean the school operates or endorses the service.
Schools have shared photo libraries. Administrators can manage albums, photos, shared favorites and downloads, and invite other administrators. Only the school creator can remove other administrators or delete the school. Leaving a school or deleting a personal account does not delete its shared photos.
Your photos and permissions
You retain any ownership rights you have in your photos. You authorize us and our service providers to store, process, display, and provide downloads of your contribution, including preview generation, metadata updates, and event matching described here. You authorize the organizer and its yearbook production providers to select, crop, reproduce, and include your photos in the school yearbook described in your invitation, and to produce and distribute that yearbook. Other uses require separate permission. These terms do not transfer ownership to us or authorize advertising use.
Submit only content you have the right to provide. Follow your school’s photography rules and any family restrictions known to you. Contributors are not expected to know other families’ private photo preferences. Provide accurate contributor details. Do not upload unlawful content, impersonate someone, introduce malicious files, bypass limits or access controls, or interfere with the service.
Organizers must confirm that their school permits collection through this service and check school photo permissions and family restrictions before using or distributing submitted photos. Restrictions may apply to taking, uploading, or publishing a photo. Uploading a photo does not establish permission from everyone depicted or approve it for the yearbook. Organizers are responsible for reviewing submissions and addressing restricted photos, including removal when appropriate.
Uploader details are embedded in the stored photo, and original metadata may include location. Our Privacy Policy explains this processing and your deletion options.
Keep your originals and check delivery
Yearbook Drop is not a backup or archival service. Keep your original files. Uploads can fail, be delayed, or remain unconfirmed. Storage limits and service availability may change. Metadata can be interpreted differently by other software.
Automatic event matching uses photo dates and can include unrelated photos or miss relevant ones. Organizers are responsible for checking delivered albums and correcting selections before publishing or distributing a yearbook. A submitted photo is not a guarantee of delivery or publication.
Third-party services
Our hosting, storage, and sign-in providers have their own terms and availability. We do not control their services or copies of photos that organizers download, share, or print.
Use at your own risk
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” and you use it at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, complete security, accurate event matching, or preservation or successful delivery of every photo.
Limits on responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for loss of photos or data, failed or delayed delivery, incorrect metadata or album selection, unauthorized access, third-party service failures, or an organizer's use or distribution of content. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or opportunities, arising from use of or inability to use the service, even if advised of their possibility.
These limits apply only where the law allows. They do not exclude responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not remove mandatory consumer, privacy, or other legal rights.
Suspension, changes, and ending use
We may pause or stop the service or restrict access to address abuse, security issues, legal requirements, or operational needs. We do not promise that the tool will remain available indefinitely. You can stop using it at any time. Administrators can delete photos directly in the app. The school creator can schedule school deletion from Settings. School deletion pauses access immediately and provides seven days for the creator to restore it. After that, the school and its stored photos are permanently removed. Deleted photos also have a seven-day recovery period unless permanently deleted sooner.
If you cannot delete a photo yourself, contact your school organizer or email support@yearbookdrop.com. See the Privacy Policy for deletion options and details.
We may update these terms, show the revised date here, and provide notice or seek renewed agreement where required. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
